Biography
Dr. Baughman received her PhD in Sociology with a minor in Public Health Education from Indiana University. She was a National Institute of Mental Health Pre-Doctoral Fellow in the Training Program in Identity, Self, Role, and Mental Health while at Indiana University and a scholar in residence at the Austen BioInnovation Institute in Akron in 2010. She has taught at NEOMED since 2005. Her research has focused on health behaviors, obesity, sleep disorders, advance care planning and patient empowerment. Dr. Baughman serves on NEOMED’s Institutional Review Board for the Protection of Human Subjects.
