Biography
Marguerite A. Erme, DO, MPH is a 1977 graduate of Ohio State University with BS in microbiology, a 1981 graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a 1993 graduate of Ohio State University with a Master of Public Health. She is board certified in emergency medicine and worked as an emergency medicine physician for 12 years. From February 1996 until June 2004 she was employed by NEOUCOM in the Department of Community Health Sciences and also served as part-time Disease Control Medical Officer for the Akron Health Department. She was the full-time Disease Control Medical Officer for the Akron Health Department from July 2004 through December 2010 and interim Medical Director from April 2009 through December 2010. She became Medical Director for the Summit County Health Department in May 2010 and has continued in that position after the consolidation of the Akron Health Department with the Summit County Health Department in January 2011. Her main duties include clinical services oversight, communicable disease control, graduate, undergraduate, clinical and community teaching.
