Biography

Deborah Marino is an associate professor of Nutrition and Dietetics, at The University of Akron. In addition to her graduate training in Nutritional Sciences and Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Marino is a Registered Dietitian. Deborah’s teaching and research emphasis is community and public health nutrition, and areas of interests include community food security and sustainability, and nutrition services for at-risk and underserved populations. Deborah also maintains interest and connection to global public health nutrition concerns, especially in Latin America where she has lived and worked.
